The story behind the Wellesley Shop Label:

Polly King was a prolific artist and owner of The Wellesley Dress Shop Inc., a prestigious dress shop on Main Street in Niagara Falls N.Y. she created the ads for the dress shop and wrote all the copy for its televised fashion shows. Mrs. King's art resides at the Castellani Art Museum.

Dress Measurements:

• Halter (around neckline) 20" long.
• Bust 34" - 35".
• Gathered bust.
• Under bust 30.5".
• Waist 24.5".
• Hips 36 inches.
• Hip pockets.
• Skirt pleated at the front.
• Length from nape to hemline aproximate 49 inches.
• Small slit at the back.
• Side zipper opens about 13".
• Bodice is lined in crepe and boned.

Jacket Measurements:

• Bust 36".
• Waist 26".
• Sleeves 3/4 with winged turned up cuffs. 15.5".
• Hips 40".
• From nape to hemline 22".
• Fully lined in crepe.
• Rhinestone & pearl buttons.

This dress has been dry cleaned and stored since.

In excellent condition. The leather on the back of the belt cracked in a couple of spots but the material holds it together and it can probably be glued and it is not noticeable when worn. We marked it down $50.00 for this apology.
